With our firm you can make a difference as a support staff member
Paralegals are the ‘trained special forces’ of legal firms. Paralegals work alongside the Partners to provide practical, hands-on assistance in all aspects of legal work.
Under the supervision of Lawyers, Paralegals may:
- act as an initial contact point for legal enquiries
- draft correspondence
- prepare legal documentation
- perform conveyancing
- take instructions for, and draft, wills
- compile court documentation
- liaise with clients.
Experienced Paralegals are highly sought-after.
Kathryn joined Thynne + Macartney over 10 years ago with prior experience in both small and large legal practices.
She’s become an integral member of our Agribusiness team, trusted to manage routine matters and represent rural landholders directly on behalf of the team jointly led by Partners, Bill Loughnan, Peter Kenny and Ari McCamley.
“I particularly enjoy the diversity of work. Our Agribusiness team deals with so many issues, not all of which revolve around ‘the paddock’: for example, estate planning and conveyancing. Every file is different.”
Our flexible work practices, available across the firm, have enabled us to retain Kathryn’s expertise while giving her the flexibility she needs to raise her young family.
