About Cameron

Details are important as that is where things often go wrong down the track in a transaction - Cameron's clients can be assured that their lease is always reviewed at Partner level.

Cameron has over 25 years' experience in property law specialising in commercial leasing, working primarily in retail leasing. Working alongside his clients, Cameron develops a methodical process to their leasing requirements to get things right. He has developed efficient processes to protect his clients, simplify leasing transactions and minimise costs.

His experience includes:

  • acquisitions,
  • disposals,
  • financing of retail properties,
  • redevelopments, and
  • the leasing and management of major tenancies.

For many years Cameron's portfolio has included all the leasing work for a significant institutional group of shopping centres in Queensland, Victoria, South Australia, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory. He acts for clients who have granted numerous leases to Australia's premier supermarket chains and department stores.

He has negotiated the sale and purchase of several shopping centres throughout his career.

Helping clients navigate risk, Cameron's clients can make their best commercial decisions by understanding the risks involved.

A collaborator, Cameron ensures transactions do not get held up by small details and avoids unnecessary expense that achieves little for either side.

Working with clients from the negotiation stage, Cameron provides guidance on the structure of the transaction to protect his clients' interests.

A successful outcome for his clients is very important to Cameron. As such, he looks at transactions not just technically but also from a practical and commercial point of view.

Cameron values the sharing of knowledge. He regularly presents for the Property Council of Australia, Legalwise, the Queensland Law Society and the Television Education Network.
