About Emily

Emily is an employment law specialist, with more than 12 years' experience spanning the full range of employment, industrial relations and safety issues.

Emily works closely with clients to achieve their objectives while managing legal, operational and reputational risks. Emily is recognised for her practical and commercial approach.

Emily helps employers navigate issues at all stages of the employment life-cycle, from recruitment to conduct, performance and termination. She has deep experience in:

  • organisational change, restructures and sale of business
  • industrial relations strategy and enterprise bargaining, including right of entry issues
  • compliance with employment laws, including employer obligations and pay entitlements, and
  • managing reputational risk, including during sensitive investigations, negotiations and terminations.

Emily's extensive litigation experience includes acting for employers in the Fair Work Commission and Federal and State Courts in relation to:

  • unfair dismissals
  • general protections claims
  • discrimination and harassment claims, and
  • industrial disputes.
