Matthew was named Best Lawyers 2027 Shipping & Maritime Law “Lawyer of the Year” in Brisbane. This accolade has been held by a Thynne + Macartney partner for the six out of the last seven years, with Matthew receiving the award in the 2025 and 2022 editions and Michael in 2026, 2024 and 2021. Michael received the 2027 Transportation Law “Lawyer of the Year” award in Brisbane, marking his fourth time recognised in this category. This achievement was held by Matthew in the 2026 edition.
Senior Associate Tony Calligeros received recognition for Planning and Environment in Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch in Australia, for the third consecutive year.
