Thynne + Macartney welcomes Tim Quirk to partnership

Tim leads the Planning, Environment and Local Government group and is a key member of the firm’s Property team.

With over 16 years experience in the area, Tim is a specialist in planning and environment law with expertise in advice and litigation concerning the development approval processes. Tim has a particular focus in relation to enforcement and prosecution proceedings for development and environmental offences acting for both Councils and those responding to such proceedings.  Tim acts as a guide through the maze of environmental issues which can stand in the way of development approvals.

Tim also has expertise in drafting and negotiating infrastructure agreements, responding to compulsory acquisition, negotiating compensation and s15 Agreements, and advising in relation to approvals and compliance with Environmental Authorities

Tim’s clients include property owners and developers with major commercial, industrial and residential portfolios as well as infrastructure providers and major Queensland local government authorities.
