Congratulations to our Planning + Environment Partner, Tim Quirk, who has been selected as one of four finalists at this years’ QLS Excellence in Law Awards for large firms with 20 or more lawyers holding practicing certificates.
This nomination marks what has been a fantastic 12 months for Tim and his team with several significant decisions going their way and a continued growth and development within the firm.
Tim’s work across a number of high-profile cases including successful representation of BMI Group and Noosa Shire Council has been testament to his expertise within the Planning and Environment space. Tim is regularly sought by clients who need a lawyer who understands the intricacies of planning and environment law, can effectively run a matter to trial in the Planning and Environment Court, and deliver commercial recommendations and outcomes.
Alongside representing developers and Councils, Tim has demonstrated a strong commitment to work that benefits communities in Queensland. He represented the Bella Residents Action Group who were placed in a difficult position earlier this year when a Development Application for a large Motorsports Facility and Tourist Park was approved by Council within close proximity to the residents.
This recognition follows Tim’s selection as finalist for Planning and Environment Partner of the Year at the Australian Law Awards, recognition by Best Lawyers as a Leading Lawyer for Planning & Environment and Land Use & Zoning, and acknowledgment by Doyle’s Guide as a Leading Lawyer in Planning & Development.
This year’s QLS awards winners will be announced at the inaugural QLS Excellence in Law Awards Gala on Saturday 20 August at Brisbane City Hall.
